7 HEALTHY + EASY SNACKS FOR YOUR NEXT BEACH TRIP

Beach season is here, and that usually means a cooler (or two) of snacks and drinks to keep you and your crew happily satisfied while spending the day in the sun.

That being said, not all snacks travel or execute well on the beach between the sand, sunscreen and sweat, and if you’re trying to keep things healthy you might feel at a loss for what to pack.

So as we welcome a summer of beach and pool trips, below are my top 7 healthy snacks to bring with you.

🍉 Fresh Fruit:

  • This one might be an obvious one, but fresh fruit that is ready to grab and munch on (washed, cut, etc.) is super refreshing on a hot beach day. It’s key to prepare this at home to make your life easier. Plus you’re eating nature’s candy, so you can feel good as you dig in.

🥒 Sliced Veggies with Dip:

  • With the heat in mind, some fresh veggies like sliced cucumbers, chopped peppers and baby carrots can be really enjoyable and obviously healthy. Cucumbers specifically contain a large amount of water, so you’re also hydrating while snacking.

  • Don’t keep it boring, toss in a healthy dip, like hummus, tzaziki or a ranch dressing made with healthier oils.

🧀 Cheese Stick or Cheese and Crackers:

🌰 Trail Mix:

  • Raw Nuts with dried fruit is a healthy snack to munch on that gives you protein, healthy fat and fiber along with a mix of sweet and salty. One of my favorite combos is walnuts with dried cranberries and cashews with dried apricots.

🍿 Popcorn

  • Popcorn is a satsifing snack that is light on your caloric load while pack a big punch of fiber and taste. It’s important to choose an option that is made with healthier oil like olive, avocado and coconut oil and not heavily processed. Here is one of my favorites.

🥔 Healthier chips

  • Chips is another snack that’s always welcome, especially as a side to your hoagie and a favorite among kids. It’s again really important to check the oil, because many options are made with vegetable oils that are heavily processed. There are two favorites: linked + linked

🥩 Jerky (beef or turkey) :

  • Protein is key when it comes to feeling full enough and satisfied. A protein focused snack is always going to be a good idea to keep your blood sugar balanced and your energy up. A beef or turkey jerky is straight protein that is super easy to through in your bag and bring with you whether it’s to the beach or a day of errands.
