What To Do When You Hit a Weight Loss Plateau

Sure, there are probably things many of us could do a little better when it comes to our food choices, habits or workout routines, and an important part of the puzzle is having a strong foundational plan that sets you up for success.

But if you find that you’re doing all the “right” things, yet you’re no longer seeing the weight loss happen or the results you want, there are some ways you can step it up a notch to get your body back into weight loss mode.

  1. I know there’s a lot of talk about protein and you’re probably tired of hearing about, but the truth is many people- especially women- are not consuming enough protein or the right amount of protein at the right time of day.

  2. Incorporate weight lifting to help redefine and tone up your body while keep your metabolism and fat burning hormones burning.

  3. Stop relying on the scale. When I talk about weight loss, it’s not necessarily the number on the scale but your body fat and lack of muscle, and the best way to judge this shift is by how your clothes fit and what you see in the mirror.

  4. Take digestive enzymes before having a heavier meal, especially when eating out and maybe having foods or ingredients that could cause digestive issues or bloating.

  5. Start every morning with warm water with lemon. It’s an oldie but a goodie and can really make a different in how your liver helps your body detox.
